Voice of Al Husayn Presents UNITED IN HUMANITY, Saturday 23rd January At 1:30PM Victoria Square, Birmingham City Centre.. To celebrate the Humanitarian values upheld by the grandson of the Prophet, Al Husayn

Throughout history, certain inspirational human beings have held the torch of humanity and dedicated their whole lives in upholding and promoting human values. These great individuals truly transcend all faiths and cultures, and are a pride for human beings at large. Imam Al-Husayn, the grandson of the Prophet Mohammad, is the culminating glory of this great human tradition promoted by Krishna, Buddha, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Nanak and others.

One may describe the life of this distinguished personality as exemplifying humanistic values which all humans, religious or not, may subscribe to. Al-Husayn stood up against injustice and oppression, and did not succumb to bribes or threats, which resulted in the brutal killing of his close family and helpers. In an epic statement, Al- Husayn said: “I would rather have my head cut in upholding human values then to blow in humility to falsehood.” In essence, Al-Husayn gave his life in upholding human values and supporting the noble cause of common humanity.
